Second Appointment

We had our second appointment yesterday and everything went really well.  We finally go to hear little one's heartbeat!  :)  Still so amazing!  We saw a midwife and a med student and the med student lead the appointment, which was fine with us since we had no real concerns and I'm very healthy and low risk.  It was kind of fun to watch him go through the check list and he was so excited to be doing it.  Nothing too exciting, we just talked about the risks associated with VBAC and the fact that I'm an ideal candidate for one.  Also talked about the testing that we can opt to get or not get at our next appointment.  We've decided again that we won't be getting any of the testing done.  The only disappointing thing was we thought we'd be able to schedule our anatomy scan but they're having us schedule it after our next appointment which isn't until June 7th because they want me to be 20 weeks along for the anatomy scan so they can get a better look at baby's organs and development.  We were just expecting it sooner because I was 18 weeks along with Alex when we had it done.  It's only two extra weeks but now instead of finding out the first week of June we'll find out the 18th which seems SO far away (even though it's really only a little over a month away).  Ah well, so we'll have to wait a little longer to find out how things are developing and whether we're having a girl or a boy!
